This is a decent effort to get back to some semblance of Metal. Be wary of reviewers who will now go on to claim that the new album is going to be bigger and better than Master of Puppets. Are Metallica back? Sort of. Its not back to good old Thrash, but its still a big leap from the gibberish that came out during 2003. So, I believe a simple "Welcome Back" is due..:)
Oh, and Kirk Hammett isn't using his wah pedal on the solo!
